2025 East Lee Chamber Annual Awards Gala

We had our Awards Gala this past Saturday, March 29th!

It was an incredible opportunity for us to highlight those who have had incredible achievements in 2024 in our community.

It was a night to remember full of memories as our friends and neighbors got to meet, catch up, and allow us to see how truly grateful we are to have such a caring community.

Our event at The Plantation Golf & Country Club was full of great activities, including a silent auction, an incredible dinner, great entertainment from Wayne Cristiano, and highlighted by our Annual Awards Presentation.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony / Open House

One of our newest members, Pretty Girls Poppin, had a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Open House on March 12th!

It was a great opening of a company that is looking to make a positive impact on our great community.

The mission of Pretty Girls Poppin is to empower young girls with confidence and foster a sense of sisterhood through affirmation-inspired activities, community service, and personal development.

Their vision is to ignite the flames of self love in young girls through personalized affirmation products and programs. By fostering self-love early, they nurture the growth of empowered women, ready to embrace their strengths and shine in the world.

Southwest Florida Ag Expo Achieves New Milestones

Lee County is pleased to announce new milestones at the 2025 Southwest Florida Ag Expo, including livestock auction success and attendance.

Attendance at the Ag Expo increased 6.71% from 80,852 attendees in 2024 to 86,277 in 2025.

More than $665,890 was raised in animal auctions, including $38,190 in the small animal auction, $543,789 in the market auction and $83,919 in add-ons.

Lee County Parks & Recreation Offers Easter Egg Hunts

There will be events on Lee County Parks & Recreation sites with opportunities for children to put their egg-hunting skills to the test in advance of Easter (which is April 20th).

All of the information is available on their website, or you can read the full press release with all the information by clicking the button below.

You Are Going To ‘Flip’ Over Waived Adoption Fees

Lee County Domestic Animal Services will celebrate the annual ”Flip This Kennel” event in April with reduced adoption fees of just $30 with an approved application.

The theme for the 11th annual event is “Cartoons.” You will see creative spins on cartoons such as Bluey, Scooby Doo, Paw Patrol and more. Prizes will be awarded for first, second, third place, and honorable mention in both in-house and Facebook votes.

Visitors to the shelter on Saturday, April 12th, can vote for their favorite flip between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Votes also can be cast on their Facebook by liking the picture of a favorite kennel or cattery all day Saturday and Sunday.

Winners will be posted on the Facebook page Monday, April 14th.
