Begin Hurricane Preparedness

The East Lee Chamber encourages everyone to begin hurricane preparedness as we head into the official hurricane season that begins June 1 through September 30. The midpoint of the official hurricane season is the month of September. The two most recent storms to directly hit our area were Irma on September 10, 2017 and Ian on September 28, 2022.

Create a Family Emergency Plan.

Put together a basic emergency supply kit for your home and your automobile.

Keep in mind the special needs of children, nursing mothers, and sick people.

Remember to include your pets in your emergency plan.

Stay informed.

Lee County has published the All Hazards Guide. It is available in English and Spanish. You may pick up your copy at the East Lee Chamber Welcome Center located in the Lehigh Plaza “under the clock” at 25 Homestead Road.
