Lee Health Mobile Unit
Lee Health new mobile health unit is stationed at 55 Homestead Rd S in Lehigh Acres. They are committed to accepting the same insurance as their LPG practice locations.
Additionally, the mobile health unit is posed to serve the Lee County community, particularly in the aftermath of hurricanes or similar disasters.

Upcoming Events
The Big Shred
The Big Shred is a free community shredding event.
The event will be Saturday, November 9th from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at East Lee County Government Complex (600 Homestead Road S., Lehigh Acres).
Drive up and have your paper documents transported to the on-site shredding truck by a Clerk team member.
*Limit three banker boxes per car.*

Cruzin’ Dental Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Cruzin’ Dental had a fantastic ribbon cutting ceremony last month to open their newly renovated Lehigh Acres office.
Bright smiles lit up the event as we met the incredibly friendly Cruzin’ Dental staff as they proudly showed their new office.
Lee School District Board Member and East Lee Chamber Board Member The Honorable Armor Persons presided over the ceremony, and other East Lee County Chamber Board Members were in attendance, including Board Chairman Michael Welch and Board Member Michael Jacobs.

Lehigh Regional Medical Center Sold
Lehigh Regional Medical Center has been sold, and the transfer process has begun. Prime Health has sold the Medical Center to Health Corporation of America (HCA). This development marks the development of great healthcare coverage in our area.

Hurricane Milton Assistance
Lee County is working to assist those who have been impacted by Hurricane Milton. If you have a business that was affected by the storm, please click here to fill out a brief survey to help track economic and physical damages.
Additional resources like the Florida Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan Program and SBA Economic Injury and Damage Loans have been activated for funding assistance.
The Florida SBDC at FGCU is also available to assist with questions and resources, and offers no-cost business consulting.

Celebrating Mobility Week
Commute Connector through the Florida Department of Transportation is celebrating its ninth-annual Mobility Week. It started Oct. 25th, and ends tomorrow. Mobility Week promotes awareness of safe, multimodal transportation choices and is part of the Ride Roll Stroll Challenge.
Participants can record their transit, bike, walk, and carpool trips all month long through tomorrow, lining up with the end of Mobility Week. Prizes are also available for those who participate in the challenge.

Emerging Leaders Program
Florida Gulf Coast University is offering an Emerging Leaders Program through the Southwest Florida Leadership Institute. The program is a two-day workshop that will offer action-based learning and driving success in the public sector, along with earning a micro-credential. It takes place on Thursday, Nov. 14th, and Friday, Nov. 15th, with an exclusive networking event on Wednesday, Nov. 13th, for those who are registered.

Potential YMCA Facility
The Southwest Florida YMCA is conducting a survey on behalf of Lehigh Acres to gather feedback and interest in bringing a YMCA to the East Lee County community. The proposed facility would help meet the needs of the growing community and offer programs for individuals of all ages and their families.
Participating in the survey will assist with the proposed planning and development of this project to serve the needs of the community.
