A Grateful Southwest Florida – East Lee County

Firefighter fighting wildfire to protect Southern California home

All of us who live in Southwest Florida know all too well that we live in a great country where we come together to help our fellow citizens in times of disaster.

The wildfires of Southern California are unprecedented, far reaching and deadly. Thousands are now literally homeless with nothing but the clothes on their back.

“I hugged families that experienced total loss. They’re numb, but so grateful they are alive and giving thanks to God for their temporary shelter and a supportive… family” – Colonel Mike Dickinson, Salvation Army of Southern California.

As the Salvation Army is always some of the first on the scene and swings into action, we know their work here during our crisis.

All of us in Southwest Florida are praying for them.
